What Up Peeps!!!
So, my English teacher, Mrs. Murphy-Tick, has left my class with reading the book Walden, by Henry David Thoreau, and doing our author study. I chose my author study to be Maya Angelou. I had partied like a rock star all winter break, and now that I have school next week, it's time for me to get busy! It's hard to get back to work after a long vacation-I'm not gonna lie! That's why I'm getting to work on reading and studying now so that way I can get back into that mode again.
As I'm reading Walden, I'm starting to get to know Henry David Thoreau a lot better. I'm starting to understand where he's coming from. As of right now, I'm on chapter 4-Sounds. His theories are very profound and easily believable because he gives soo many examples to his cause. Because I'm soo gullible, I am hanging on to every word he is saying. He brings forth beautiful imagery which coincides with his diction. It's like I'm actually there with him-which helps me understand the text even more! His theories not only bring out facts, but, it's also starting to make me question our society and how we are living! If he was alive today, he'd be very disappointed! His theory is, "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!" He teaches us how to not be soo materialistic and to live in the moment! I know for sure that I don't live in the moment! I'm always thinking about tomorrow, or next week, or even next year! It's hard to live by Thoreau's theories-which is sad, to say the least! If he heard all of these things that we do today, like plastic surgery, or working 24/7, he would just die with disgust! I'm completely on his side with this one! It's just ridiculous!!
On a different note, I'm getting to know another person also! Maya Angelou! She is my complete inspiration on writing poems! She is absolutely amazing! Right now, I'm reading her book, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. I'm only on the 2nd chapter and I can say that it's getting good! Her words are soo fluid and vivid....it's just perfect! And her imagery is to die for! The way how she describes the morning air at the Store, for example, is like you're actually there! And she spices it up with her diction-which makes an ordinary place or object twice as better than it actually is! I've read a little bit about her life-which is I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings because it's an autobiography. And I think that she is a strong and brave woman. Going through soo many hardships like she did can break anyone down! I won't tell you too much details because I want you to see for yourself! She is an amazing writer/poet! And I'm glad she is my inspiration!
So, that's it on what's going on in school-work wise. Oh Peeps! There's soo much more stuff that I have to tell you-I've just been soo busy lately! I know! It's the same excuse everybody has been using now-a-days! But, I'm serious: what with all of school and all....there's hardly any downtime anymore. And if there was any, it's sleep! And I know all of you can relate with me on that subject! Well Peeps, I gotta go! I'll talk to you guys later!

FINALS are FINALLY over!! (for now!)
What Up Peeps!!!
So, last week, on Wednesday and Thursday, North Canyon High School had to take finals. Ugh! I hate taking the finals!! It always causes stress, tiredness, and premature gray hair!! And we have to do this twice every school year. Yeah. It gets really old, really quick!! Some students go on a rampage about either that class or not even caring about their finals and just winging it!! But, this year, for me, I cared A LOT about my finals!!! The 2 classes that I needed the most studying in was Physics and American History!!
So, I began a long journey of studying my butt off on Tuesday night and Wednesday night!! On Tuesday night, I started studying for my English and Physics final. I had studied from 9 p.m-1 a.m. I call it a "half all-nighter"! Come Wednesday, I was pumped and ready for those 2 finals!! We had a half day that day, so, when I got home, I ate lunch, took a small nap and then began a LONG strenuous study session!! (Try saying that 10x fast! LOL!!) It had began from 3:30 p.m-3:00 a.m!! Some may call call me crazy, but, I call myself determined. I was EXTREMELY tired came 3 a.m. I was studying for Spanish, American History, and Pre-Calc. I had literally given up at 3:00 a.m and had forced myself to get some sleep before my alarm clock would go off at 4:50 a.m for me to get ready for school! When I got to school on Thursday morning, I was ready for ANYTHING to come my way!! Determination and nervousness were the only 2 emotions that I felt throughout these 2 days!! Being a teenager, having JUST 2 emotions, and no more, at the same time is a rare occasion. It's practically a blessing!! But, were these 2 emotions worth it?!
Peeps, did you think ALL of that studying was necessary for a smart girl like me?! {chuckle} If you ask me, I would've looked at you and smiled and said, "You can NEVER study enough for a particular subject in life, because there's a lot to learn in each subject! So many details left out of this textbook and that textbook! We must continue to study to enrich our knowledge and bring forth NEW theories to test!" Do you want to know what my final results were?! I had learned a very valuable lesson so far this year: focus on your QUARTER grades so that way you don't have to be too stressed out come finals! It'll help you out in the long run! The Untold Story Behind Me and Bhavin
What Up Peeps!!!
So, as I've promised last entry, I'm going to fill you in on my second boyfriend last year-Bhavin. Ok. So, you already know how Bhavin had presented to me that he had a crush on me after band class. Well, when he told me, I was completely shocked. And then, all of the sudden, he had asked me to the dance that was coming up in like, 2 weeks! I was OVERWHELMED!!! I told him that I'll think about it and I went on to my next class. That was when I knew it. That I was in a "fast-forward" relationship!!! Bhavin was moving FAST!!! Almost too fast. Overall in our relationship, I was overwhelmed. Why?! Because I've never been in a relationship like this before. I've always been in a "slow paced" relationship. Boy, was I about to encounter an emotional roller-coaster.
Bhavin and I had communicated through phone calls, texting, chatting on Facebook, and hanging out during lunchtimes. He would call me everyday after school!!! EVEN when my parents were at home. Now, since I wasn't allowed to date yet, I would text Bhavin-saying that he couldn't call right now because my parents were at home. He LOVED to call me on the phone! He, in fact, liked calling me more than texting. When I would tell him that it was a bad time to call me, he would beg for a little bit, and then give up when he realized that I wasn't giving in. When he called me, we would talk for almost an hour before my parents got home!!! On our phone calls, he would tell me all of his fantasies.....which, between me and you, was quite fast-forward!!
During lunchtimes at school, he would meet me at my normal spot at lunch and we'd sit and talk before my friends would come along. {chuckle} I remember the first time when he met up with me at lunch. He had KISSED my hand like I was Queen Sheba!!! I've NEVER been treated like that before in my entire life. I will tell you peeps now that Bhavin is the first guy I've ever kissed. Let's just say that you can learn so much about a person through their kiss. Of course, we had hit a few bumps in the road-but, had patched it up quite quickly.
I never told you this, but, Bhavin had-and still does have-a HUGE crush on my best friend, Kelsey Abel. Even when he was dating me. This situation had gotten out of hand one day when Bhavin had told me that he couldn't make it to the dance because he was having money issues. But, Kelsey had told me that he had asked her to the dance!!! Luckily for me, Kelsey had turned him down. But, I was peeved off!!! After that situation, my heart just couldn't take it anymore. So, I broke up with him that afternoon through a text. I was soo furious with him that I couldn't even go throughout the rest of my day without breaking up with him!! In the text, I told him not to ever contact me ever again and to leave me alone. He didn't text back-which told me that he really didn't care. If he did, he would've called me and would have left me thousands of messages on my phone.
I had handled the situation of being alone the only way I knew how-to listen to my OneRepublic CD on full blast and cry my heart out. Yes, I had felt better, but, it did hurt me really bad. Earlier that day, Kelsey had showed me a text from Bhavin that was sent to her. It had said, "I love you". That had said it all. I became depressed for a little while and then started to get over him because of my starting crush of Abheshik. (which, hopefully I can tell you about later!) That's what I always do. Once my heart gets broken, I'm always finding myself falling in love again!! (Those darn hormones!! LOL!!) So, Bhavin had dated a girl right after me-who, honestly, I thought he could do WAY better than THAT!! But, nonetheless, I got over him-slowly, but surely! It turned out that I had won the "war"! Kelsey had told me just a couple of months back that Bhavin told her, "First, Saidah doesn't want me and now you don't!"
Now, me and Bhavin are great friends. Altogether, me and Bhavin went out for ONLY a month!! Can you believe it?! A MONTH!! Time had flown ever so slowly when I went out with him!! I can tell, at times, that he doesn't want me to be taken because when I told him that I had a crush on someone and was going to tell that guy how I felt about him, Bhavin had a sad look upon his face!! Oh yeah!! I had totally won that war!! LOL!! He still has a crush on Kelsey-that boy just won't let up on her!! But, it's all good!! Well, Peeps, I best be going now!! I apologize for making these blog posts soo long!! But, you know how I do!! I'll talk to you guys later!!

The Untold Story Behind Me and Andrew Craven
What Up Peeps!!!
So, I had somehow left you out of "the loop" of my love life. I do apologize greatly for that, Peeps! Honest-to-truth, I have been very busy lately with my schooling and the average "typical drama" for a 16 year-old. Well, today, I want to take the time to fill you in on one of my past boyfriends!! {chuckle} Yeah, there's been more than one this past school year. His name is Andrew Craven! Remember him?! I had only mentioned him to you about 2 times. Well, when we were going out.....it really didn't feel like we were going out. That was the MAIN reason why I had broken up with him after 2 months of us going out. We never went anywhere together. We didn't hold hands or even hug for that matter. It was a very "Rated G" relationship.
But, there was a good side to having Andrew as my boyfriend. We would always send messages to each other through MySpace and had texted each other every day. That was our communication!!! It kinda bugged me that we didn't meet up during lunch times. I remember it now. I was always sitting by myself for about half of lunch period, and then the second half, my friends would show up and we'd hang out for the remainder of the lunch period. To put it plainly-our relationship went NOWHERE!!! It was boring!!! We acted more like friends towards each other than acting like we were going out!!! Then, something had happened!! A guy came up to me after band one day and had CONFESSED his love for me!!! That guy's name was Bhavin. (I promise I will tell you all about him next blog entry!!) After he told me, I was completely shocked!! No one has ever come up to me before and told me personally that they have a crush on me!!! And, the funny thing about it was that he knew that I was "going out" with Andrew!! So, what was I to do?!
I did what any desperate girl who needs love would do. I said yes to Bhavin! EVEN THOUGH I was still going out with Andrew!! Now, before you throw your hands up in the air and call me a "cheater", just know this one thing: I was planning on breaking up with Andrew the next day. But, fate had other plans for me....or Andrew. He was sick that next day and for the rest of the week. Now Peeps, you can throw your hands up in the air and call me a "cheater" because I ended up breaking up with Andrew once he came back to school that next week. But, word must've got out of me breaking up with Andrew that day because right when I came up to him, with my speech ready, to break up with him, he told me that he already knew because someone had told him. (What?! I may have told a few people beforehand that I was going to break up with Andrew that day! Like, I don't know, a whole class worth!!!) I had asked him if he was sad about it and he said that he wasn't. He said that our relationship was NO BIG DEAL!!!
No big deal?! Geez, that was harsh!! I at least thought that we had a little connection in our relationship! So, that was it on me and Andrew's relationship. We are now currently friends, and me and my friend, Kelsey Abel, thinks that he still likes me!! Earlier this year, I was considering asking Andrew back out-but, my friends had pleaded me not to!!! (They all hate him!!! They all think he's annoying.) Sometimes, in Marching Band, he does get on my nerves....but, I've learned to realize that that's just how Andrew is, and I have to accept that!! I did what any desperate girl who needs love would do. I said yes to Bhavin! EVEN THOUGH I was still going out with Andrew!! Now, before you throw your hands up in the air and call me a "cheater", just know this one thing: I was planning on breaking up with Andrew the next day. But, fate had other plans for me....or Andrew. He was sick that next day and for the rest of the week. Now Peeps, you can throw your hands up in the air and call me a "cheater" because I ended up breaking up with Andrew once he came back to school that next week. But, word must've got out of me breaking up with Andrew that day because right when I came up to him, with my speech ready, to break up with him, he told me that he already knew because someone had told him. (What?! I may have told a few people beforehand that I was going to break up with Andrew that day! Like, I don't know, a whole class worth!!!) I had asked him if he was sad about it and he said that he wasn't. He said that our relationship was NO BIG DEAL!!!
No big deal?! Geez, that was harsh!! I at least thought that we had a little connection in our relationship! So, that was it on me and Andrew's relationship. We are now currently friends, and me and my friend, Kelsey Abel, thinks that he still likes me!! Earlier this year, I was considering asking Andrew back out-but, my friends had pleaded me not to!!! (They all hate him!!! They all think he's annoying.) Sometimes, in Marching Band, he does get on my nerves....but, I've learned to realize that that's just how Andrew is, and I have to accept that!! SONG BACKGROUND: So, I wrote this song when I first got here to Arizona....which was, like, 3 YEARS AGO!!!! I must admit, it's sorta corny-so, BARE WITH ME here! This song is basically about me coming into a new school and trying to figure out who I actually want to be. My baby brother, Jabari, at age 4!!!
What Up Peeps!!!
Jabari has just turned 4 last month on the 13th. He is now pretty much half my size-so, we can all agree that Jabari will be taller than me once he reaches his teenage years. LOL!! Now that Jabari is 4, his speech is getting better by the week!! When he is trying to say, "Sorry," he says, "Gawee!" He calls me, "Thai" and he calls Hanifa, "Thai-y!" His favorite show, as of right now, is Spongebob Squarepants. He also loves Mickey Mouse, Cars-the movie, and Go, Diego, Go! He loves to help my mom cook in the kitchen-which is fine, as long as his hands are clean!! LOL!! One of the things I find remarkable about Jabari, is that he LOVES broccoli!!! Sometimes, he orders my mom to cook him some broccoli!! He also loves to clean up-which makes me and Hanifa quite confused!! We both, on some occasions, do not like cleaning up at all!! Jabari is a very thoughtful and helpful little man! (I like to call him that!!)
Of course, there is a flip side!! Jabari can be very hard-headed at times. When somehow me or Hanifa get on his nerves, he spits on us all of the time!! Especially on Hanifa!! Sometimes, if me or Hanifa is talking maybe too much, Jabari will say, "Hush Thai/Thai-y!" He knows he loves telling people to be quiet. And sometimes when me or Hanifa get in trouble, he says, "Na Na Na Na Thai/Thai-y!!" Me and Hanifa hate it when he says this. I don't know why, but, it gets to us. Sometimes, Jabari demands to go on the computer, and if my mom and dad says no, he'll cry hysterically. He does get plenty of whoopins when he acts this way. For some reason, sometimes Jabari acts like he can get whatever he wants when he wants it! And for many cases-it won't go that way!! Of course, Jabari also has his temper, or rather, attitude. He'll sometimes say, "Fine mommy!!" or stomp of the stairs really loud, or give you this stare that's "supposedly" supposed to scare you!! Jabari just cracks me up when he does this!!
So, you've heard of the saying, "Terrible Two's" huh? Well, it now needs to be, "Fierce Four's" for the four year olds. Cause Jabari sure does think he's fierce when he wants to be-which makes him look really adorable!! He is my baby brother and I love him unconditionally!! {chuckle} I can't wait until he can be able to read this blog post!! It will be a memory to remember!! Well Peeps, I got to go!! My Dad's 39th Birthday!!!
What Up Peeps!!!
Well, yesterday was my dad's 39th birthday!!! I had soo much fun yesterday that I must admit....that was the best time I ever had out of this whole summer!!! Why?! Because Hanifa, Jabari, and I haven't been out much at all this whole summer!! It's sad...I know!! I have begged my parents, especially my mom, to let me go over to a friends house, any friend, just to let me get out of this house....though my mom had said yes, every time I'd ask her, she'd be heading off to work or wants me to stay home!!! It sucks, sorry to say!!! But, what can I do, right?!
Anyway, for my dad's birthday, we had went to Arriba first!! (A Mexican Restaurant) Boy, they hooked us up with those nachos that me and my mom had ordered!! LOL!! I recommend everyone and anyone to try it!! After that, we went to the Arizona Science Exhibit (or was it a Museum?!). It was completely awesome!! While I was there, I had seen my classmate named Barron!! (He's that guy I had told you about earlier this year that looks like Joe Jonas!) He had totally caught me off guard. He had volunteered there and he thought that I had looked familiar. So, he had tapped me on the shoulder while calling my name!! I was completely shocked, may I add.
After the Arizona Science Exhibit, we had all went to QT!! (Arizona is best known for the hot and arid heat!! QT is a gas station and a little store!! In that store, they have tons of slushies and soft drinks!) We (my family) had all bought a soft drink! I had gotten a green apple/white cherry slushie with a little bit of Sprite!! (I'm always the one to get the wild and funky colors in the family!) After that, we had went home and watched a movie called Defiance. I had fallen asleep on the last half bit of that movie...I was tired. At about 9 p.m, we had ordered from a restaurant called Macaroni Grill. We all shared a family sized Fettichini!! May I add, Fettichini is now one of my favorite meals!!
Once it came to my Dad's birthday cake, it had became a whole event! Both me and Hanifa had performed, "Happy Birthday" to our dad with our instruments!! (Hanifa played her Cello, while I played my Trombone!) Then, my dad had cut his slice of cake, and as he did that, I had presented my present to him!! It was a poem! (If you know me by now, that was no surprise!) It was a beautiful and funny poem that my dad enjoyed and loved!! After that, we had all ate our cake and the rest of the night was pretty laid back.
So, that was my dad's 39th birthday!! It was loads of fun and a memory to never be forgotten!! Well Peeps, there's more from me to come later. I'll talk to you guys later!!

POEM BACKGROUND: This poem was actually written by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is really a speech that he had made in 1963 at the Civil Rights march in Washington D.C. This is a very popular speech that I'm pretty sure you guys have heard of in your lifetime!! I had chosen this speech to share with you because it is very inspiring and powerful in every way. I love this speech! It shows a lot of pride and dignity beyond belief. It goes to show that if you can dream it, and you believe it, you can achieve it!! Though there is still a linger of racism in this world, I have realized that this world has progressed since 1963. I mean, really! We now have a Muslim African-American President-the first African-American president EVER!! (Which is Barrack Obama!!!) I've seen people put their differences aside and joined hands to progress on. Though there is still a linger of racism in this world, I have realized that this world has progressed since 1963. I mean, really! We now have a Muslim African-American President-the first African-American president EVER!! (Which is Barrack Obama!!!) I've seen people put their differences aside and joined hands to progress on. I truly do love this speech. It goes to show that with time comes improvement!

Happy 19th Birthday Dev Patel!!; Happy 1-Year Anniversary; Celebration For the 50th Blog Post!!!
What Up Peeps!!!
There is a lot to celebrate today, Peeps!! I am completely and utterly excited about this blog post!! So, let's get started on celebrating!!!
First and foremost, I would like to wish an actor from the unforgettable movie, Slumdog Millionaire, a happy birthday today!! His name is Dev Patel-who plays the character Jamal in the 8 Academy Award winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire!!! Today, Dev has turned 19 years old!!! I would personally like to say, "Happy 19th birthday Dev Patel!!! You did an amazing job on Slumdog Millionaire!!! I can't wait to see you in the next upcoming movie, The Last Airbender!!! You are a brilliant actor and I am now one of your biggest fans!!! Keep up the good work!! I do hope and pray that I get to meet you in person!!! I hope you have a great 19th birthday!!! - MY CELEBRITY CRUSHES: From April 19th-June 10th 2008, I had a major crush on the actor/singer Mitchel Musso. He stars in the show Hannah Montana and has a movie out that premieres on Disney Channel called Hatching Pete. After seeing the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, I had found new love. From June 11th 2008-April 11th 2009, I had a huge crush on the British actor Ben Barnes. *GASP* I sort of let the cat out of the bag!! You have just found out that I have a NEW celebrity crush!!! But, I won't tell you who it is just yet!!! See if you can guess who it is!! (Hint: He is Indian-but, has a British accent!)
- MY SCHOOL CRUSHES: I remember that my first high school crush was Alex Bradley A.K.A Oliver!! {chuckle} I swear, he looks just like Mitchel Musso!! Come to find out, I had a crush on him (Alex Bradley) TWICE last year!! It was in the beginning and towards the end of the school year!! It never worked out between us! We were just good as friends!! Now, we are frienemies!! Last time I had seen him was like, I think, in January!! We like to be competitive with each other!! And between you and me, Peeps, I still think he looks sexy!! Then, there was Chris Moore!! *sigh* He is such a great guy-he really is!! He has the sexiest blue eyes I had ever seen!! And I personally thought that he looked like Shia LaBough. I had liked Chris during Thanksgiving Break....and it carried on until about April! We were really great as friends, I think! I need to get back in contact with him soon! I haven't talked to him or seen him since last year. And then we have Adam Silverman! I must've tried to find another crush to get over Alex Bradley because it was an embarrassing ordeal between me and Adam! What had happened was that right before Spring Break, I had given him a note telling him how I felt. After Spring Break, he never returned my note nor talked to me about the situation. I had assumed that that's his way of saying that he just think that we should just be friends. But, boy was I embarrassed. I had actually thought that I had a chance with Adam. Thankfully, I didn't make that crush a HUGE deal in my life. And now, we're up to this years' crushes!! There are two people that I did go out with this year! (One was Andrew Craven-you know him. But, the other one, I will tell you about in a couple of blog posts from now!) This year, I mainly had an "opened-mind" on guys. Meaning, I just focused on school work and if I felt that there was a certain guy that I thought liked me, then I'd focus somewhat on that guy!!
- MY FAMILY: When I had started this blog, my family was at a very rocky road! It had all started on May 9, 2008. My dad had went back to Indiana for about a month and 4 days!! It was a temporary separation between my parents!! I was devastated!! I would NEVER want to go back to that day!! I had literally felt like I was in The Twilight Zone!! My dad did come back though. It was on Father's Day weekend!! My whole family was ecstatic-including my baby brother, Jabari, who was only 2 years old then!! It was completely amazing!! And then, the unthinkable had happened. My dad had somehow found out that my mom was DATING another guy while he was gone!! *sigh* The whole family was crumbling down even more!! My dad was soo upset, that he went so far as to rent a condo for the next couple of months!! But, something had pulled my parents aside. Something that would make my parents forget about divorce and moving out!! What was it?-you ask. It was simple: Money!! We became flat broke!! So broke to the fact that my mom had to ask her friend for about, I think it was $200, just so that way she could feed us at home!! It was a nightmare!! Now, my family has bonded even more since that time!! We had just recently moved to a new house and my parents are getting along quite well!! In fact, I don't think 'divorce' is in their brains at all now!! Which is good because happy parents make happy children!! LOL!!
- ME: I have grown tremendously since my first blog post...as you can tell!! My diction has become evident and progressed. I am now allowed to fast because I'm 16 years old!! Since I've started fasting, I see life differently now. I've matured since my first blog post. I've been through some really rough situations this year that's made me valiant and confident in myself. I have also grown to appreciate and love poetry even more than I ever did before!! I don't know if I'm a natural born poet....but, I am striving to be one as we speak!! Poetry has somehow become my diary entries!! Every time I write a poem, I pour my whole heart and soul into it. I treat each and every one of my poems as my very own baby!! I treat it with my utmost respect and care for my poems with great passion. If that's not full dedication, I don't know what is!! Of course, I'm still single! But, I've had numerous crushes along the way! LOL!!
Be excited Peeps!!! This is the 50th blog post!!!! This is a great celebration to be a part of!!! Make sure you tell your friends, family, and people who you don't even know {chuckle} about this blog post!! Thank you Peeps for all of your love and support!!! I love you all!!! ;-)

Chemistry and English class
What Up Peeps!!!
As the year is progressing, so is my struggle in Chemistry class!! If any of you Peeps has done Chemistry class, you can understand my frustration!! First of all, I HATE Chemistry!! (As you can see in my profile!) I despise Chemistry with a passion!! And for the simple fact that I have to stay in Chemistry for this last quarter of the year, makes me want to cry in my sleep!! So far, this whole year, I've been getting a 'D' in this class!! That just goes to show how much I hate Chemistry!! For one thing, it is a very hard class to take-especially if it's an HONORS class!! I mean, you have to know the trends of the periodic table, mass-mass equations, oxidation numbers, formulas-and that's not even the half of it!!! It's soo confusing and boring!! I have to MAKE myself like this class!! I had just recently written a poem about Chemistry class!! It's really funny! For any of you who hate Chemistry, then this is the poem for you!! I will most likely show you that poem sometime in the near future!!
Then there's English class!! I honestly love this class. Right now, we are reading a book called Tess of d'Uberville! It's a really good book so far! I'm still in Phase 1 of the book. I'm to where Tess meets Mr. Alec. And between you and me, Peeps, something is not right with Mr. Alec! He seems to be hitting on Tess every minute!! He could possibly win the title of being a womanizer!! We are also getting into the story of Macbeth! I'm not sure what it's about yet because we just got into it yesterday! But, it sound good so far! Along with these classical readings, we also are in the middle of a research project! This is the only part of English class that I do not like! We have to research our literary genre that we picked! And my genre is the Mystery Genre! I'm using my favorite book, Holes, by Louis Sachar, to help support my thesis of this genre! So far, I'm coming along quite well with my research. Our rough draft is due on the 17th of this month. I literally can't wait for this date to come because it means that I'll be done with the research paper for a while!

For All Of You Arizona Students, Can You Say, "A-I-M-S Testing This Week!!!"
What Up Peeps!!!!
First of all, I would like to DEEPLY apologize for not posting anything up for you from these last couple of weeks!!! Truthfully, and honestly, I've been excruciatingly busy with homework, boys, friends, and tests!!! (The reason why I said 'boys' was because I had 2 boyfriends-not really at the same time-since I had last talked to you!!! But, I'll tell you all about that in the next couple of blog entries from now!!!) Today, I want to talk to you about AIMS testing this following week!! (I'm really talking to the North Canyon High School students here!!)
I believe the testing begins on Wednesday the 1st and Thursday the 2nd!! On these two AIMS tests, they will cover both Math and Science subjects!!! Thankfully for me, I don't have to take the Science portion of the AIMS because I'm a Sophomore and had already taken it last year!!! For all of you Freshman out there, "Good luck with the Science portion of the AIMS test!!!" Here is a helpful tip for everyone who is taking the AIMS test(s) on Wednesday and/or Thursday: Take your time on EACH problem. Breath in nice and calmly. These tests are NOT timed at all.....so, don't rush it!!! Eat a nice and healthy breakfast before you go to school on Wednesday and/or Thursday!!! And don't forget to have plenty of rest!!! ;-)
I really, honestly, don't want to do ANYMORE AIMS testing for the rest of this year!!! But, like any student who goes to school, I have no choice!!! {chuckle} I remember back in Indiana, we had to take this one specific type of test called ISTEP!! It was a test just like AIMS that covered every subject in school!! I had hated taking the ISTEP test and had dreaded the topic of it!!! Ahhh.....those were the days!!! LOL!!! Well, Peeps, I better get going!!! Good Luck everyone in North Canyon High School on your AIMS testing come Wednesday and/or Thursday!!! See you then!!!
