The Little Girl

What Up Peeps!!!

Poem Background:This poem was kind of my own "creation"!! Some of this poem is about me, and some of it isn't. I actually wanted to create a poem that brought out big emotions that were just too much to bare!! I had written this poem when I was in the 8th grade. At the time, my inspiration was this girl I used to know, that had moved to Texas, and had given me some of her poems. Please, Peeps, don't read too deeply into this poem!! I made it simply out of emotions that I felt, at the time, was necessary. So, here's the poem, "The Little Girl"!! Enjoy!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Little Girl
The little girl hears a
slam of a door.
Behind that door,
she hears her parents yell'n
at each other.
The little girl
runs to her room and hides
under her covers.
She hides her shame,
guilt,
and cries
from everyone.
She cries herself to sleep
at night,
hoping for her parents to
come and comfort her;
but they don't.
They don't pay no mind
to the little girl.
The little girls heart
is shattered and broken;
too late to be fixed.
She has no friends @ school.
People bully her everyday.
At home,
she feels invisable;
her parents just close the
door,
and fight.
The little girl just
basically.....
lives her life alone;
in the dark.
Someone needs to wake her
up from this nightmare.
She's livin' her life.......
anti-socially.

So, what did you think of that poem?! Pretty deep, huh?! Like I had said before, some of this poem is about me, and the rest isn't. After reading this poem just now, I have realized that my dialect has changed dramatically!! I didn't know that I used to talk like that when I was in the 8th grade!! LOL!! After being taught that this type of poem is definitely not uplifting, I started to stop writing poems like these!! Because this poem, right here, has probably brought some of you, Peeps, down and made you feel sad inside. I do apologize for that!! But, this poem did get your attention, didn't it, Peeps?! See!! That was the whole purpose for why I had wrote this poem in the 8th grade!! I wanted attention, and this poem gave me that!! (I had openly read this poem aloud in my English class after writing it!! Many people had liked it and said that it was deep!!)

So, Peeps, this is a lesson for all of you who loves to write poems!! Try to steer away from writing poems like this one (above)!! But, if you really must, go ahead at your own risk!! Make sure you make it clear to your readers whether or not the poem is about you and if it's true or false!! Because many people will take poems like these seriously!! Well, Peeps, I'll talk to you next week!!

*Remember*~Resist a temptation to take shortcuts of any kind.
