Memories......

What Up Peeps!!!

Memories......That's all I can say at this point!! You know, memories can impact a person soo much. Whether it's good or bad. {Chuckle} Actually, just yesterday, I had a Marching Band Invitational. Though, I did come in late yesterday, all other 12 MARCHING BANDS came to our North Canyon High School to perform and be judged. Including SHADOW MOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL!!! When I heard that Shadow Mountain High School, my old high school, marching band was going to be there yesterday, I completely freaked out and was nervous and excited all at once!!!! And I knew, right then and there, that I had to watch out for mistakes when I perform.

After the Shadow Mountain High School had performed, they marched over to where my Marching Band was at, the rehearsing area, and was heading for their bus to drop off their instruments!! I was hoping that they'd wave at me or say, "Hi!!" to me...but they didn't. :-( They kept marching forward with intensity in their eyes!! I must admit, seeing all of my old Marching Friends right there in front of my face, almost brought tears to my eyes!! I truly do miss them!!! Then, after we had warmed up, it was time for US to perform.....

My throat was arid. I made sure that I had stretched out my back COMPLETELY so that way I won't have a back-cramp as I was performing. I felt like my heart was coming up in my throat. Hearing only my heart within the crowd's noise. All I saw, were the football field's bright, white lights. Staring at it, gave me a sense of courage to go on. After my drum majors did their salutes, they dismissed us to go to our spots!!! And that was it!! We took off for our performance!!.......

Wavers of cheers went all over the stands!!! ALL 12 Marching Bands saw and heard us perform!!! Including Shadow Mountain High School Marching Band!!! As we marched off the field, I heard SHADOW MOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND scream out, "Go Saidah!!! Yeah Saidah!! Saidah!!!" in chants!!! I smiled really wide and looked over, seeing Karina, my fellow marching band friend{in the stands},from Shadow Mountain High School Marching Band, jumping up and down crying out my name as well!!! As I saw in amazement, I tripped over something orange!!! I don't know what it was, but, it was orange!!! (Yeah!!! That's a blooper moment!!!) Hopefully, nobody saw that!!! (I technically didn't trip over it....I actually kicked it over!!) At that very moment, I felt like screaming and crying with joy!!!! I had then realized something: My old Marching Band didn't forget about me!!! They remembered me!!!

I had told my former Baritone player, and three clarinet players what had happened!!! They were all happy for me!!! From that moment on, for the rest of the night, I was hyper with excitement!!! Telling my friends over and over again how it felt to have my old marching band cry out my name and cheer for me!!! Right before the awards ceremony began, 3 of the Shadow Mountain High School Marching Band kids, came out to talk to me!!! When they showed up, I was hyperventilating and was nervous!!! (Almost like how I would react if I met Ben Barnes face-to-face!!!) They had to personally calm me down as well!!! Then they told me their experiences and how they were!!! And they also told me how my old band directer is doing!!! It was kind of weird at first, because I thought they'd be the least likely to come and talk to me!!! Two of them used to always tease me and the other helped my First High School Crush keep my diary!!! But, those thoughts were pushed aside then!!!

It was, indeed, a night to remember!!! The stars were aligned yesterday night for me!! Not only was Allah watching me, but, I felt like the stars were watching and guiding me as well!!! Huh...ponderous really!!! It's truly amazing what memories can do to you!!! If I had a chance to redo yesterday night, I wouldn't change it for the world!!! (Well, maybe the whole tripping-over-the-orange-thing-scene!!! LOL!!!) I have now realized that I am a memorable person!!! People love me for ME!!! And that's what I'm thankful for!!! I am a lovable person!!! I'm definitely glad I went to the Invitational yesterday!!! It's events like these that makes you go and find your real self!!! Take care Peeps!!! More to come later!!!

*Remember*~You can always make new memories, but you'll always have your old ones.
